Technical Report: Reduction of Dissolved Oxygen Levels through Circulation Degassing in Open Water Tanks
A report on the results of field tests regarding de-aeration in the water supply tank for de-aeration of water in an open state water tank.
The relationship between the suction vacuum degree (absolute pressure) of the vacuum pump and the amount of dissolved oxygen (DO mg/L: ppm) over time has been summarized in a graph.

basic information
【Results】 ○ There is little difference in the change in dissolved oxygen reduction due to vacuum level differences up to about 50% degassing. ○ After that, the lower the suction vacuum level, the less residual dissolved oxygen there is until reaching the final equilibrium. ○ Since this is the test result at a flow rate of 1 L/min, the cumulative water volume in the degassing tank, which corresponds to the water tank capacity, is reached after 30 minutes, and even in a circulation system, a degassing rate greater than the rate of air dissolution into an open tank is achieved. ○ Degassing in the degasser depends on partial pressure equilibrium, so it can be predicted that degassing effects of vacuum levels of 4.6 kPa (94%), 8.3 kPa (87%), and 14 kPa (80%) can be obtained after about one hour under conditions with different water concentrations. ● For more details, please contact us or refer to the catalog.
