A degausser is a residual magnetism removal device used in parallel between a DC power supply and an electromagnetic clutch or brake.
It is used when the operation of the electromagnetic clutch or brake is incomplete or slow due to the influence of residual magnetism. It can be reliably activated by the action of reverse current. 【Features】 ○ When the DC voltage from the power supply is cut off, a slight DC reverse current is applied to the electromagnetic clutch and brake by the capacitor in the degausser, eliminating the residual magnetism of the electromagnetic clutch, brake, and disk. ○ The optimal reverse current application time varies depending on the internal resistance and mechanism of the electromagnetic clutch and brake, but it is approximately 0.1 to 0.5 seconds. The degausser allows for presetting the optimal value using a variable resistor knob. After that, no adjustment of the variable resistor knob is necessary unless the capacitor deteriorates. ○ The degausser was developed for our electromagnetic clamp model MDB and electromagnetic disk brake model GDN, but it can also be effectively used for other manufacturers' electromagnetic clutches, brakes, and electromagnetic products if the internal resistance value is in the range of 10Ω to 100Ω. *For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.
