Bicolor molding refers to a molding method that creates a single product made from two colors or two types of resin. A dedicated machine equipped with two sets of injection devices is used for molding. The main applications of bicolor molded products include push buttons for calculators and computer key switches, as well as knobs for mechanical devices, where letters, numbers, and symbols are incorporated. A representative example of the bicolor molding process involves molding the first color (one material) from the first cylinder, opening the mold once to attach the primary molded product to the core side, rotating the mold turntable 180 degrees to close the mold, molding the second color (two materials) from the second cylinder, opening the mold again, and then removing the molded product from the mold, resulting in the completion of the bicolor molded product.
