In the current context where environmental issues are being questioned, the introduction of environmentally friendly vehicles such as HEVs (hybrid vehicles) and FCVs (fuel cell vehicles) is rapidly progressing. Until now, the only insulated tools guaranteed for maintenance and service related to these vehicles have been "thick and large live-line working tools," and there has been a demand in the maintenance industry for "insulated tools that can reach narrow spaces and be used efficiently." In response, Kowa Seiki has anticipated this need and, after many years of research and development, has begun selling the "Kowa Insulator Tool" series of insulated tools for automotive maintenance. These products are insulated tools certified to "EN60900 (European Standard)" aimed at preventing "short circuits and electric shocks" during maintenance work on HEVs, FCVs, and others.
