This is a volunteer experience in an extraordinary environment, such as taking data on coastal reefs while wearing a wetsuit or tracking wildlife in remote forests.
In various fields across the country, we conduct ecological surveys of small animals and insects that are endangered, and engage in basic research aimed at promoting coexistence between forest animals and humans. We stay at university training facilities or guesthouses, with the duration of our stay on-site ranging from a day trip to about two nights and three days.

The main reason for this is that ordinary citizens without special skills voluntarily participate in field research, working under the guidance of world-class scientists, and can experience "the current state of the Earth." In other words, it is the largest organization in the world that connects cutting-edge science (field research) with the general public. The primary goal of Earthwatch is to investigate and document changes on Earth through the "eyes of science" and to create the necessary "knowledge base" for a sustainable future. It does not impose or enforce any ideologies, principles, or claims. Based on scientific data, it communicates and proposes solutions to humanity's challenges from a fair standpoint.
