Compared to other techniques that can analyze large molecules such as protein complexes, AUC allows for the characterization of molecules under solution conditions where they exist in their native state. AUC has been used to analyze almost all types of molecules and particles in a wide range of solvents and concentrations. AUC has two complementary methods, and by optimally utilizing these methods, it is possible to analyze the properties of molecules in solution.
