basic information
Lime titanium-based coating, austenite + ferrite-based special welding rod. Designed with components that reduce the occurrence of shrinkage stress during cooling, making it particularly suitable for joining materials with high crack sensitivity, such as alloy steels, and for intermediate layer welding to prevent corrosion, wear, and crack formation through buildup welding. It has work hardening properties and performs well against impact wear, and due to its high chromium content, it also yields very good results against high-temperature oxidation. The workability is excellent, and the arc remains stable even at low currents. It has good familiarity and produces a smooth bead. Applicable for welding dissimilar metals, steels with unknown compositions, difficult-to-weld steels, and tool steels. Hardness HV250, hardness after work hardening HV440, tensile strength 800 N/mm².
Applications/Examples of results
Welding of dissimilar metals (medium and high alloys, cast steel, high manganese steel, spring steel, tool steel, etc.), buildup welding of corrosion and heat-resistant parts (such as molds for plastics, rotors, etc.), and underlayer welding for hardfacing materials. Intermediate welding of high alloys (such as stellite, tungsten, etc.) that are prone to welding cracks.
Company information
Since its founding in 1918 (Taisho 7), Koike has served as an opinion leader in machine tools utilizing "gas energy," contributing to the development of key industries. During this time, in line with the progress of the era, we have developed cutting machines utilizing "plasma" and "laser" ahead of others, and have commercialized advanced automated systems using NC technology. At the same time, we have established a comprehensive total system to meet all customer needs, ranging from "gas, welding, and cutting to related equipment."
