"Mechanical_Cam" is software that assists in the design and production of plate cams and groove cams, allowing for the combination of five types of link mechanisms: linear end, rocking end, radial method, tangent method, and sine method, based on the basic cam mechanism. It also enables the creation of timing diagrams and the generation of cam curves using 21 types of cam profiles, in addition to universal curves. Furthermore, it can calculate cam contour errors and determine optimal cam contour coordinates. The created mechanism data and timing curve data can be saved to files. It supports the design and production of plate cams, groove cams, and internal cams by allowing the saving of tool center and contour coordinate data of the designed shapes in text files or DXF files.

"Mechanical_Cam" is a design and manufacturing support software for plate cams, groove cams, and internal cams. It allows you to design basic cam mechanisms while checking them in a mechanism preview through a data input form. The completed mechanism data can be saved to a file. Next, in the timing diagram creation form, you can create the cam's timing diagram and cam curve graph, completing the timing curve. The finished timing curve can also be saved to a file. In the design form, you can rotate the cam for drawing and perform a drive simulation of the mechanism. The software outputs the cam shape and cam mechanism as DXF files, saves BMP files, and exports data such as cam tool center data, contour data, and tool correction data to text files.

Modeling example of a groove cam This is a diagram created by outputting a DXF file made with board cam and groove cam design and manufacturing support software, and importing it into a three-dimensional CAD for modeling. (Separate three-dimensional CAD software is required.)

Cam Data Input Form A form for selecting cam mechanisms and creating data. Input data according to various mechanisms, check the mechanism diagram on the preview screen, and perform file saving and retrieval, etc.

Timing Curve Creation Form A form for creating timing curve diagrams by inputting data such as cam curve selection and layout angles. The form allows for file saving and retrieval. The created timing curves can be saved as DXF files.

Strength calculation form for plate cams and groove cams. It calculates cam shaft torque, cam technical data, cam strength calculation results, allowable load for cam followers, and more. The calculation results can be printed or output as text.
