This pump is used for discharging rubber extender oil (new tire rubber material) manufactured in a petroleum refinery into tankers. Due to its high kinematic viscosity, the pump itself is equipped with a heating jacket. It lowers the liquid viscosity with a heat medium (steam) to facilitate pumping.
