To shield against radiation, DENSIMET is the best choice.
To shield high radiation, high-density tungsten composite materials are most suitable. Planzay's DENSIMET is the most suitable tungsten material for radiation shielding, as it reduces expensive manufacturing processes by adding nickel and iron to tungsten, while also improving workability.

basic information
Traditionally, lead has been widely used for radiation shielding, but in recent years, there has been a significant shift towards tungsten due to compliance with RoHS regulations. However, pure tungsten is very expensive, difficult to process, and poses challenges for implementation. Planzé's DENSIMET is a tungsten composite material that contains 90-98.5% pure tungsten, and by slightly mixing in nickel and iron, it eliminates the costly rolling and heat treatment processes while improving machinability. At Planzé, we consistently perform machining of tungsten composite materials, which are still more difficult to process compared to lead. Please utilize our micro-level processing capabilities, made possible by being a material manufacturer, for next-generation shielding products. For more details, please refer to the catalog.
