This device is a bit error rate (BER) measurement instrument that supports advanced wideband transmission methods and will be operational from 2011. It complies with the technical conditions regarding the enhancement of satellite digital broadcasting as outlined in the 2020 Information and Communications Council's Advisory Report No. 2023, specifically the "Technical Conditions for Satellite Digital Broadcasting" (dated July 29, 2008). By combining it with the 3253A Advanced Wideband Satellite Digital Broadcasting Signal Generator, it allows for the sharing of frame structures for advanced wideband transmission methods, providing an environment that facilitates bit error rate measurements with complex settings. Additionally, it is also capable of measuring the bit error rate of MPEG TS in various digital television broadcasts.
