This device is an impulsive noise generator capable of performing impulsive noise tests (burst noise tests) as specified by standards such as DTB-T, ATSC, and DOCSIS. When an IF signal is input into this device, it adds impulsive noise and phase noise according to the set C/N and performs frequency conversion, outputting it as an RF signal. Additionally, it can be used as a noise generator (maximum NBW = 100 MHz) that outputs only noise centered around a set frequency without inputting an IF signal. Various parameters necessary for impulsive noise and phase noise testing can be easily configured, making it ideal for evaluating the performance of receivers.
