The GY series magnetostrictive linear displacement sensor is an industrial displacement sensor that applies the magnetostrictive phenomenon based on the Wiedemann effect. It is a high-precision absolute displacement sensor that determines position by generating torsional strain along the magnetostrictive wire through a magnet that moves non-contact along the sensor probe and measuring the propagation speed of that strain.
