【Customer Inquiry】 Is there any software that can automatically mask the background of images taken of the cross-sectional structure of the workpiece? 【Proposal】 We proposed software with the following configuration, using JPEG images (image size 445×351 to 1372×1024 pixels) of the cross-sectional structure of the workpiece's weld taken by a microscope as samples. 【Results】 For the provided samples, images 1, 5, 6, 7, and 8 were processed without any issues using the masking process. On the other hand, images 2, 3, and 4 presented challenges in separating the work boundaries due to similar density values to the background.
