The 8471 uses a He-Ne laser as the reference wavelength, enabling highly accurate measurements for an optical wavelength meter based on the Michelson interferometer method. This allows for high-resolution and high-accuracy measurements of emission center frequencies, such as those of LDs for DWDM. The measurement speed is also fast at 10 times per second, making it ideal for adjusting the oscillation wavelength. Additionally, the deviation display function allows for high-resolution and high-accuracy measurements of short-term wavelength changes.
