The D/MS A/B series is a connector compatible with the MIL-DTL-5015 standard for soldered connections. It offers a wide variety of combinations of plugs, receptacles, and accessories, making it suitable for both cable extension and panel connection applications. With 12 shell sizes (#10SL to #36) and 5 contact sizes (#16 to #0), as well as 73 different insert arrangements, a diverse range of combinations is possible. basic information
● A barrier is established between each contact terminal of the insert, increasing the creepage distance between contacts to enhance dielectric strength performance. ● Both the plug shell and receptacle shell can incorporate pin inserts and socket inserts (excluding the 10SL size). ● When using high voltage and high current with the D/MS A/B series, it is recommended to use socket contacts on the output side and pin contacts on the input side to prevent accidents. ● The plug shell has a key groove and the receptacle shell has a key, which prevents incorrect insertion even when similar connectors are used side by side by changing this angle (see page 8). ● The solder cups of the contacts embedded in the insert are aligned in a specific direction, making wiring easy. ● The surface treatment of the shell is a black trivalent chromate treatment compliant with the RoHS directive (MIL-DTL-5015: cadmium-plated OD color treatment). ● Connectors with 20 or more cores have the insertion and extraction force of the contacts set slightly lower within MIL specifications, allowing for easy insertion and extraction by hand.
