Traditionally, we performed forging processing in four separate steps, but now we have reduced the thickness to 1.7 mm and increased the height to 4.3 mm through progressive processing from coil material. By switching to progressive processing, the positioning accuracy has improved, and the quality (concentricity) has been enhanced. Additionally, while we previously used to press out a plate and then machine pins to be riveted, we can now form four pins from a single plate using press processing and also machine the grooves of the pins. Sato Metal Industry Co., Ltd. has been supplying parts to various industries, including automotive parts, bicycle parts, and various consumer goods, as a manufacturer specializing in metal press processing. Since its establishment in 1948, we have utilized our long-standing know-how in designing and manufacturing molds in-house, enabling us to produce from development and prototyping to mass production. In recent years, in response to further cost reduction and rationalization, we have been challenging new methods and processing areas, such as sheet forging processing using high-rigidity presses and three-dimensional forming processing using servo presses, as a transition from machining and casting.
