Cost reduction through surface treatment! Increased durability and efficiency! A collection of case studies showcasing the benefits.
Surface treatment technology: Examples of problem-solving case studies. In mechanical components, there are essential properties such as friction and wear resistance, heat resistance, and non-stick properties that are crucial for maintaining high productivity. By applying surface treatment technology (coating) to mechanical components, it is possible to maintain the aforementioned properties, which in turn significantly reduces costs and maintenance efforts. ◎ For more details, please download and view the catalog.

basic information
【Introduction of Case Studies】 ● Slipperiness, lubricity, wear resistance, sliding properties, high hardness → Durability and slipperiness have dramatically improved. ● Release properties, non-stick properties, dirt resistance → Release properties have dramatically improved, and deformation defects are virtually nonexistent! ● Corrosion resistance → Corrosion resistance has improved, doubling the lifespan. ● Conductivity → Contamination on terminal surfaces is nonexistent, and improved slipperiness has also enhanced durability. ● Galling prevention → Improved slipperiness has reduced wear due to galling phenomena, enabling high-precision continuous molding. ● Heat resistance → Surface oxidation due to heat has become nonexistent, reducing operational failures. ● Sealing properties → Durability and sealing properties of the ball section have improved, reducing valve replacement frequency to about one-third. ◎ You can view detailed specifications and more by downloading the catalog. [Efforts Toward Environmental Measures] In recent years, global environmental regulations have been imposed on various industrial products and manufacturing processes. Regulations such as the "PRTR Law," "RoHS Directive," "PFOS," and "REACH" have increasingly constrained traditional manufacturing due to the restrictions on the use and discharge of environmentally harmful substances. The Protronics Group has not only complied with these regulations but has also proactively addressed these issues and advanced development from an early stage. We have conducted early investigations into the restrictions on the use of relevant substances in recent environmental regulations and have been engaged in research on alternatives or the elimination of such substances. As part of our environmental efforts, we have newly introduced "wastewater treatment facilities" (operational since October 2007) to not only meet discharge regulations from factories but also to aim for the discharge of as clean "water" as possible.
