The through-type photo sensor, model KI1400 and 1401, is a compact photo interrupter with a photo IC output that can be mounted in four directions. It features a built-in amplifier and an open collector output type, with an integrated LED current-limiting resistor. RoHS-compliant versions are also available. It is suitable for applications such as object passage detection in card machines and currency exchange machines, coin passage detection in vending machines and amusement devices, and paper passage detection in ticket vending machines, as well as in OA equipment.
