SOGEVAC is a single-stage rotary vane vacuum pump. Oil is injected for sealing, lubrication, and cooling of the pump, recirculated from the pump oil reservoir, and filtered as needed before being injected. The lubrication system allows for continuous operation at high inlet pressures (up to 1000 mbar abs.), making the pump versatile for most low vacuum applications (accessories may be required). The oil discharged from the pump section along with process gas is largely separated in the oil tank section, from where it enters the built-in exhaust filter and is finely separated. The oil separated from the gas is returned to the oil tank section and supplied back to the pump section. SOGEVAC vacuum pumps are characterized by very low power consumption, typically saving 15% compared to pumps in the same class. The SOGEVAC rotary vane pump is equipped with numerous special features: ■ Compact design: high pump efficiency ■ Quiet operation ■ Non-return valve: prevents pressure rise in the chamber by closing the valve during pump shutdowns or power outages.
