【Analysis】 - A thermal storage tank measuring 10m(W) × 10m(D) × 10m(H) is modeled, including internal structures (such as ducts and supports). - High-temperature fluid is drawn in from the top of the duct inside the tank, while low-temperature fluid at 6°C flows in from the bottom of the pipe. - The total number of grid points is 72(X) × 69(Y) × 80(Z) = 397,440. 【Analysis Results】 - The results are displayed as a cross-sectional view of the temperature distribution and streamlines. - The flow velocity inside the tank is relatively low, with a maximum of about 0.1 m/sec. - No significant turbulence is observed, and temperature stratification is noted. - The temperature of the liquid flowing into the tank from the bottom of the central pipe is approximately 6.0°C. - The liquid is warmed by heat conduction from the tank walls and rises. - At the top of the tank, the temperature reaches about 12.0°C, and it is drawn into the cooling device from the central pipe. - By using water as the liquid and considering the latent heat of other fluids, it is possible to evaluate the performance of ice thermal storage tanks and similar systems. ● For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.
