The VLM-850A is a specific low-power transceiver manufactured by Standard. It is safe for outdoor work, with waterproof performance equivalent to IPX7 (submersible type). By connecting an optional headset, simultaneous calls can be made like a phone. It supports calls from a main unit to multiple sub-units (half-duplex communication) and alternating calls (simplex). The VLM-850A can also be used as a repeater, effectively doubling the communication distance based on theoretical values.
