The microcoil vacuum gauge is a vacuum gauge that utilizes the thermal conductivity of gases. Generally, the Pirani vacuum gauge is well-known among thermal conductivity vacuum gauges, and it is widely used because it is relatively inexpensive and easy to handle compared to other types of vacuum gauges. However, its measurement range is narrow, and it can be affected by the measurement environment, as well as being prone to disconnection due to vibrations and shocks, making it not very durable in harsh conditions. The microcoil vacuum gauge also uses the thermal conductivity method like the Pirani vacuum gauge, but it can measure over a wider range than conventional Pirani gauges and has enhanced features for measurement stability, environmental durability of the sensor part, and ease of handling.
