★Bolt Axial Force Measurement After Tightening: Bolt Axial Force Gauge BT-205★ If the tightening of a bolt is too weak, it can lead to failure, and if it is too strong, it can also cause damage. Therefore, equipment that tightens bolts to a specified torque is used, but it cannot be applied to bolts that have already been tightened. The most important aspect of bolt fastening is the axial force after tightening, and the torque during tightening only serves as an estimate of that axial force. Ideally, the axial force should be measured directly. Our newly developed "Bolt Axial Force Gauge BT-205" is a device designed for the rapid direct measurement of bolt axial force. There are measurement devices that utilize ultrasound, but they require cumbersome processes such as paint removal and surface treatment of the bolt. Our "Bolt Axial Force Gauge BT-205" eliminates these hassles, allowing for quick measurement of numerous bolt axial forces.
Detailed information
-
Introduction Procedure for Electromagnetic Eddy Current Axial Force Gauge 1 Measurement of Measurement Values (1) Connect the calibration bolt (strain gauge installation → tensile test execution) to the strain measuring device. (2) Refer to the tensile test data and tighten the bolt to the specified axial force on the joined object. (3) Attach the sensor of the bolt axial force gauge to the bolt and measure the measurement values.
-
Introduction Procedure for Electromagnetic Eddy Current Axial Force Gauge 2 4) Remove the sensor and similarly tighten the bolt to the next specified axial force. 5) After tightening the bolt, reattach the sensor to the bolt and measure the readings. 6) In the same manner, measure the readings for each specified axial force. *Specified axial forces: minimum axial force, standard axial force, maximum axial force.

Introduction Procedure for Electromagnetic Eddy Current Axial Force Gauge 3 Measurement of Axial Force Measure the axial force of the tightened bolt. - If the measured value is hypothetically 2200, convert from the axial force table, and it will be displayed as axial force = 22 kN.
