Even cement-based solidifying agents referred to as hexavalent chromium-compatible types, which reduce hexavalent chromium leaching, still contain hexavalent chromium, and there is a risk of leaching depending on compatibility with the soil. (According to a study by a national advisory body, this occurs in 1 out of 25 cases.) In public works, this is mandatory, and even if hexavalent chromium leaches during the preliminary inspection noted by manufacturers and the cement association as a precaution, construction can be carried out using "Improved 6 without leaching" according to the design method. ■For contaminated soil due to hexavalent chromium → Soil confirmed to be contaminated with hexavalent chromium, such as leftover soil from piles mixed with cement or sites of plating and chemical factories, can be safely transformed into non-contaminated soil simply by spreading and mixing. ■For recycled sand and recycled gravel → We address the risk of hexavalent chromium leaching in recycled sand and recycled gravel, which contribute to zero emissions as recycled materials.
