Fairchild manufactures several precision-grade back pressure regulators that can be used from low pressure to high pressure.
We offer four models: 10BP, 4000ABP, 20BP, and 4500ABP. Each model is extremely sensitive and functions to detect fluctuations in primary pressure and maintain a constant pressure. This high sensitivity characteristic is 32Pa for the 10BP and 127Pa for the 4000ABP, depending on the appropriate diaphragm diameter, material, and structure. Additionally, the reproducibility of these products is very stable and highly reliable, accommodating applications with large flow rates. In precision control systems, they are adopted not only in testing equipment but also in mechanical control and medical devices.

Models 10BP and 4000ABP are manually set types, while models 20BP and 4500ABP are pressure signal set types. The pressure setting range for model 10BP is a minimum of 0-15 kPa and a maximum of 35-2800 kPa. All products are primarily designed for use with air and inert gases, but they have also been used for liquids over many years for testing automotive engine fuel economy meters and fuel control system devices. Each product is highly sensitive and adaptable to high flow rates, showing a significant performance difference compared to existing metal diaphragm back pressure regulators.

Applications/Examples of results
The product is originally designed for inert gas only, but due to its high sensitivity and good output flow rate, it has been adapted for use with liquids by changing the material, serving as a testing device for vehicle engine fuel systems and for fuel pressure control in engine fuel economy meters. These applications are based on customer ideas and implementations, and we have received adoption from many automotive engine-related equipment manufacturers. Additionally, we have a track record of shipping several thousand units for balloon pressure control in medical endoscopes, which require extremely strict reliability, and we continue to supply them. Model 66BP features a wetted part made of 316SS and a Teflon diaphragm, suitable for corrosive fluids. It is particularly optimal for primary pressure control in devices using alcohol-blended gasoline, maintaining high sensitivity and good flow characteristics while ensuring high reliability.
