The W effect of hardness and uniformity! Ideal for wear-resistant parts with complex shapes.
Electroless nickel-boron plating has excellent solderability and a slow deactivation rate of the coating, so there is no decline in solderability after long-term storage. While conventional electroless nickel plating oxidizes at 350°C for 30 minutes, electroless nickel-boron plating does not oxidize even at 450°C for 30 minutes. It achieves a hardness of HV1000 (during heat treatment), which is harder than hard chrome plating. The hardness during plating deposition is about Hv750, and it can be uniformly plated on complex-shaped products that require wear resistance, making it a suitable alternative to hard chrome plating for molds and mold components.
