Chibu Electric Co., Ltd. will start selling "amorphous molded transformers" for distribution use made to order from October 1, 2012.
Molded transformers are supplied by electric utility companies, including renewable energy generation operators. They are incorporated into system interconnection receiving panels and electrical rooms or distribution boards in buildings, hospitals, and schools to convert electricity to the optimal voltage. Due to recent energy-saving measures and increased awareness of environmental issues, there is a demand for products with excellent energy-saving performance. Our company will launch the "Amorphous Molded Transformer," which employs amorphous alloy in the core of the molded transformer, achieving reduced losses and high efficiency from low load to rated load compared to conventional products.
