By machining the center hole in a separate process as a pre-step for lathe processing, the accuracy of runout and productivity can be improved.
It is possible to simultaneously process center holes and engrave management numbers on both end faces of round bars. By processing the center holes in a separate step before lathe machining, we can improve the accuracy of runout during lathe processing. Additionally, while management numbers were traditionally engraved on both ends of round bars using a marking machine, we have been able to eliminate that task by equipping a laser marker.

Applications/Examples of results
By utilizing it as a pre-process for lathe machining, the center drilling operation on the lathe becomes unnecessary. Additionally, since the center hole is processed on a reference block, it is advantageous for improving runout accuracy. It is also possible to configure the equipment for center hole processing or laser engraving processing as standalone operations.
