A major aircraft manufacturer has achieved the optimization of flight control for business jets.
To ensure safe and smooth flights with the Gulfstream G650 business jet, Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation has implemented the "Iron Bird" testing system. This is a structural model created with strict positional relationships and accurate dimensions to replicate the actual aircraft, rigorously evaluating flight control, hydraulic, electrical systems, and landing gear under various operational conditions. To prevent damage to the Iron Bird system, Gulfstream employs the MTS Active Load Abort (ALA) system, which simultaneously removes all hydraulic energy applied to the system when error thresholds are exceeded. With MTS's solution, Gulfstream has created an Iron Bird testing environment with dynamic load-following capabilities in the lab before the first flight. MTS engineers have participated in the design development, integration, execution, and training phases of this project and continue to provide technical support. "MTS's contribution to the success of the G650 aircraft is something to be proud of," the customer stated. For more details, please contact us or refer to the catalog.

MTS Japan, Inc. is the Japanese subsidiary of the American engineering company MTS Systems Corporation, which specializes in various testing equipment. For over 40 years, we have provided engineering consulting services to users in Japan, delivering earthquake simulation systems, automotive durability testing systems, aircraft fatigue testing equipment, and various material testing devices to public institutions, universities, and private companies in our country. All of these systems play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of their operations and are indispensable when it comes to "manufacturing" products. MTS Japan, Inc. was established in June 1972 with a 50% investment from MTS Systems Corporation. In May 1975, it became a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, and in 1981, we established the Nagoya branch (now the West Japan branch) to strengthen our sales and support system, which continues to this day. Through collaboration with MTS, we achieve optimization of design, improvement of productivity, and reduction of time to market for our customers' products.
