It contributes to maintaining the precision of the equipment and the integrity of the test data at a very high level.
The George E. Brown Jr. Network for Earthquake Engineering Simulation (NEES) connects 14 earthquake research facilities across the United States through NEEShub, a user-demand-driven cyber infrastructure. A key challenge for NEES is the efficient maintenance and operation of mechanical testing and simulation testing systems used at member institutions. Efficient routine maintenance and calibration of testing systems are essential to consistently maintain high levels of testing accuracy and system uptime. In 2005, MTS launched a comprehensive support program for member institutions that utilize MTS technology for seismic testing and simulation. The MTS Hydraulix program regularly monitors the cleanliness of the hydraulic fluid in testing systems as a means to prevent significant and costly mechanical issues in the future. MTS's certified calibration and adjustment services contribute to maintaining the precision of equipment and the integrity of test data at exceptionally high levels. MTS Japan, Inc. is the Japanese subsidiary of the American engineering company MTS Systems Corporation, which specializes in various testing equipment. For over 40 years, we have provided engineering consulting services to users in Japan, delivering earthquake simulation systems, automotive durability testing systems, aircraft fatigue testing equipment, and various material testing devices to public institutions, universities, and private companies in our country. All of these systems play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of their operations and are indispensable when it comes to "manufacturing" products. MTS Japan, Inc. was established in June 1972 with a 50% investment from MTS Systems Corporation. In May 1975, it became a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, and in 1981, we established the Nagoya branch (now the West Japan branch) to strengthen our sales and support system, which continues to this day. Through collaboration with MTS, we achieve optimization of design, improvement of productivity, and reduction of time to market for our customers' products.
