They can measure alternator charging current and generator voltage, as well as starter current and battery voltage drop, and can measure various temperatures using the "MODEM818" temperature probe (sold separately). With an output terminal that can be connected to an oscilloscope or recorder (for "SK-7722"), it is a true RMS type that can accurately measure distorted waveforms.
