Because the material is stainless steel (SUS), it can be welded, has heat resistance that allows it to withstand high temperatures, and exhibits excellent corrosion resistance by forming a transparent oxide film that protects the internal material from corrosion. This has led to its adoption in various applications such as filters, strainers, adsorption stages, explosion-proof filters, and flame arresters. The nominal filtration precision can be selected from 1μm, 2μm, 5μm, 10μm, 20μm, 40μm, 60μm, and 100μm. The nominal filtration precision indicates the size of particles that can be captured, which is different from pore diameter; smaller numbers correspond to finer powders and higher pressure loss. *This is not a guaranteed value.

Our distinguishing feature is that our sintered metal filters, made from metal powder, are all open-pore/continuous-pore (open porous) porous metals. Other types of porous metals include sintered metal mesh, which is created by stacking metal wire and sintering it while maintaining the precision of the mesh opening and also possessing strength; sponge-like porous metals formed solely from a skeletal structure; porous metals with numerous straight holes that resemble lotus roots; and foamed metals that have countless closed pores/independent pores (closed pore) created by adding a foaming agent to molten metal.
