If we consider a 2D printer as a device that draws on a flat surface, a 3D printer can be understood as an output device that brings three-dimensional objects to life. Our company will start a prototyping service using 3D printers from December 2012. The 3D printer we have implemented is a device that outputs 3D models into actual shapes using acrylic-based resin. The principle of the 3D printer involves stacking and layering melted resin (acrylic-based resin) and support resin (water-soluble resin), and this type of layered manufacturing method is generally referred to as rapid prototyping.
