Roll forming design and analysis integrated software 'COPRA'
Roll Forming Design and Analysis Integrated Software 'COPRA'
COPRA is a global analysis software specialized in roll forming. We offer a total solution from design and analysis to parts database management.
COPRA is the world's only product specialized in roll forming design since the 1980s and is recognized worldwide. It is also a standard tool for designers in over 50 countries. COPRA allows for the easy design of highly complex open/closed shapes in a professional manner. This significantly contributes to cost reduction in planning, design, and engineering. Designers can accomplish a complete series of processes consisting of technical calculations, including flower design (bending process), roll tool design, forming process analysis, stock roll management, CNC manufacturing, and quality control. By analyzing the stresses on materials between forming processes, designers can determine the appropriate forming process before the rolls are physically manufactured. Additionally, the COPRA series is very user-friendly and easy to learn. Based on two main components, "COPRA RF," which includes the entire process, and "COPRA FEA RF," which analyzes using FEA calculations, the COPRA series offers a wide range of rich modules for each application.

basic information
COPRA RF includes all engineering processes of roll forming, from calculations and flower design to roll tool design, parts lists, and tool production. Additionally, it integrates a comprehensive database management system for managing profiles and tools. All program modules can be accessed from the central COPRA RF database. COPRA FEA RF analyzes the roll forming process through nonlinear plasticity calculations. The COPRA RF software package has a modular structure, allowing the software and hardware to be customized to meet the user's requirements.

Applications/Examples of results
"Our company's rolls were optimized with COPRA DTM, resulting in a thorough reduction of tool costs." Matjas Knez, Alpos, Slovenia "All of us are deeply interested in COPRA, and we were able to learn more about the strategies involved in roll forming. We learned that the roll design, which until now was considered a 'black box,' has become easier through a scientific approach thanks to COPRA. We are also very interested in the future developments of COPRA." Dr. P. Shanmugam, R&D Manager, India As a global supplier in tube and profile, the voestalpine Group's "Profile Forming Division" relies on the CAD/CAM system COPRA to respond to the continuous demand for reduced cycle times and the increasing complexity of profile requirements. "Thanks to this solution, we have been able to achieve a significant amount of process optimization and cost reduction regarding lead times." Franz Koller, voestalpine Krems, Australia
