The PV CHECKs solar power measurement device can cover the inspection items (ground wire continuity resistance, insulation resistance, open circuit voltage, short circuit current, and PCS operating current measurement) that should be checked at the time of completion and maintenance inspections of solar power generation systems with just one unit. The measurement items comply with the JPEA guidelines, which are the maintenance and inspection guidelines for solar power generation systems published by the Japan Photovoltaic Energy Association. For open circuit voltage and short circuit current measurements, a comparative judgment is made using a solar radiation sensor and a temperature sensor to perform STC (Standard Test Conditions) calculations, and pass/fail judgments are made based on absolute value comparisons with the rated values of pre-registered modules. The insulation resistance measurement can identify areas where the insulation resistance of the string has deteriorated, as the measurement device has a built-in short circuit. With the standard inclusion of a DC clamp, it is also possible to measure the power generation efficiency on the module side without stopping the PCS.
