The UL of the label is evaluated based on UL969. The UL approval of the label is different from the evaluation of flammability testing.
UL969 involves affixing labels or label substrates to a test plate and conducting tests such as visual inspection, readability, abrasion, and adhesion to achieve certification. Therefore, for the labels you intend to use to be UL certified, they must meet the conditions related to the label substrate, printer, ribbon, toner, the material of the surface to which they will be adhered, and the usage environment. Panduit offers a variety of UL-certified substrates, certified under UL certification file numbers MH14576 and MH14979. (Only the heat shrink tube marker (GMUHS31) is certified under the flame-retardant UL224 with UL certification number E205133.) For more details, please download the catalog or contact us.
