Dymola (Dynamic Modeling Laboratory) is a new concept component-based modeling tool. It is particularly powerful for modeling and simulation of complex systems involving mechatronics, electrical circuits, and motors. Models can be created simply by arranging component icons from the library, automatically generating equations of motion, and easily simulating the forces acting on machines and their movements. It also offers libraries for powertrains and vehicle dynamics. Therefore, modeling and simulation can be done in a way that feels like creating a model on a desk, without the need to be conscious of the mathematical models.
