The KB3830 is a completely dust-proof type of separated photo sensor that employs an infrared emitting diode on the emitting side and a high-sensitivity phototransistor on the receiving side. It can also be used as standalone units for the emitting and receiving sides. The gap between the emitting and receiving sides can be set arbitrarily (1 to 100 mm). It is dust-proof and features a dust prevention structure (resin-sealed type) for the inside of the lens.
