The portable sampler is essentially a pump controlled by a programmable timer. The timer can be set for 6 sampling processes within a 24-hour period. The sampler is designed to be easily installed in various sampling locations. When used outdoors, it can be mounted on various structures such as utility poles, streetlight poles, and fence posts. The sampler can be equipped with either AC or DC power, and in DC mode, it can operate with a rechargeable lead-acid battery pack (providing up to 24 sampling hours on a full charge). Electronic circuit components continuously monitor the battery voltage and airflow, and in the event that limits are exceeded, sampling will be halted.
