This is a handy high-frequency moisture meter that can be easily used on-site. It is equipped with thickness correction and species-specific density correction, allowing it to measure most types of wood.
The operation involves setting the correction dials for tree species, specific gravity, thickness, and temperature in advance, and then simply pressing it against the surface of the wood. The built-in microcomputer automatically performs correction calculations and determines the moisture value. With a measurement range of 2 to 150%, it can be used for moisture measurement of various types of wood and plywood. Additionally, it is equipped with an alarm setting function that sounds a buzzer when measuring wood with moisture content above the set level. It also supports sorting by moisture standards and finishing inspections. Furthermore, the HM-520 has passed the evaluation tests of the Japan Housing and Wood Technology Center, earning high trust.
