The 920MHz band was opened for use in Japan on July 25, 2012. It is also commonly referred to as the "Sub-GHz band" and is a frequency range that excels in radio wave propagation characteristics (line-of-sight communication distance, diffraction), allowing for use without a license. The "920MHz Wireless Module Standard Module" is a wireless module compliant with the 《ARIB STD T-108》 and standardized for Smart Utility Networks (SUN) according to 《IEEE802.15.4g (PHY layer)》 and 《IEEE802.15.4e (MAC layer)》. It implements firmware for 1-to-1 communication, 1-to-n communication, and multi-hop communication, reducing the development effort for customer applications.
