The Wi-SUN compatible (Route B) module obtained certification for the international communication standard "Wi-SUN profile for ECHONET Route B," established by the Wi-SUN Alliance in October 2014. This communication standard is used for communication (Route B) between smart meters and HEMS. By using this module, it becomes possible to develop HEMS devices that communicate with smart meters, enabling the provision of new applications and energy management services, which is expected to lead to a reduction in household electricity consumption, among other benefits.
