<Decoding Annotations Complementing Physical Layer Display> Protocol information for Ethernet 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX is decoded and displayed above the physical layer waveform. Various parts of the protocol (destination, source address, CRC errors, etc.) are color-coded for easier recognition. The information in the decoding annotations adjusts according to the time axis or zoom ratio settings. Fast decoding processing is possible even with long capture data. Data transferred in frames can be displayed not only at the frame level but also at the individual byte level, allowing for an overview while referring to detailed information. The decoding information is quickly decoded from the waveform data, enabling the observation of protocol traffic on the oscilloscope, thus confirming that the link is established and communication is occurring correctly. It also helps debug issues that are not limited to analog or digital problems (such as interoperability issues, unclear causes of errors, and physical layer problems that cannot be identified by a protocol analyzer).
