We measure the wind direction and speed in the X, Y, and Z directions using ultrasound.
The WindMaster II series is ideal for turbulence measurement in applications such as bridges, buildings, wind power turbines, ventilation control systems, meteorology, and flux research. It also supports digital output of vectors using U, V, and W, and can output sound speed and virtual temperature. The WindMaster II is made of aluminum and carbon fiber, with a selectable sampling rate of 20Hz (standard) or 32Hz (optional). Analog input and output can be chosen between 12-bit and 14-bit. The WindMaster Pro II is made of stainless steel, with a maximum measurement range of up to 65m/s and a standard sampling rate of 32Hz. Vertical observation and sound speed accuracy have been improved, and strain caused by wind pressure has been alleviated. Analog input, output, and PRT (optional) can be added with a resolution of 14 bits.

basic information
The Research Series (R3&HS) is ideal for studying fluxes using eddy covariance. This series can output U, V, W, and sound speed (virtual temperature), and data recording is possible with the free software WindCom from Gill. The power supply and analog output of the instrument can be provided by the included PCIA (Power and Analog Communication Device). Analog input is standard with the HS type, while for the R3 type, it can be accommodated through an optional Sensor Input Unit (SIU). The horizontal head of the HS type enhances accuracy in the vertical direction and directionality, minimizing interference caused by the anemometer itself. The instrument can be installed close to the ground or adjusted to the height of crops or trees. Upon request, an inclinometer and analog sensor input can also be provided as standard specifications.
