A compact and lightweight device that achieves AC dielectric strength testing.
Typically, when conducting an AC dielectric strength test, voltage is applied between the windings of the equipment and between the windings and the enclosure (earth potential) to verify insulation strength. In this case, the load from the perspective of the testing device is capacitive (equivalent to a capacitor). When realizing a testing device that corresponds to such a load, this "self-compensating AC dielectric strength testing device" has been designed to be as lightweight and compact as possible, focusing on its capacitive nature. Similarly, the compensation reactor type AC dielectric strength testing device has been widely adopted for the same purpose. Additionally, in small-capacity dielectric strength testing devices (standard type), it is common for the load to be unrelated to capacitive loads.
