The disk-type centrifuge achieves an extensive separation sedimentation area of over 10,000 m² with a footprint of just 1 m² by stacking conical (umbrella-shaped) disks (separation plates) that open downward around a rotating axis. This allows for large-scale and high-speed separation in a small space. Hundreds of disks are stacked with a gap of 0.5 mm, and between the disks, centrifugal forces of 5,000 to 15,000 G are applied, allowing separation to be completed instantaneously.
