Advent's PEM (Polymer Electrolyte Membrane) exhibits significant advantages at temperatures above 150°C. This feature allows for the creation of compact and efficient fuel cell systems. The large tolerance for catalyst crossover enables the use of reformed hydrogen containing high concentrations of carbon monoxide. Compared to conventional PEM fuel cells, temperature management can be simplified. Regarding Advent's TPSRMEA, which is based on cross-linked bonding, operation at even higher temperatures of 220°C is possible, setting a world record for high-temperature PEM fuel cells. At 220°C, it demonstrates very high operational characteristics, and at 180°C, it can maintain operational characteristics over extended periods, making it potentially applicable in almost any system. Advent's high-temperature membrane/electrode assembly (MEA) does not use PBI. It is a patented solid polymer fuel cell. Fuel cells incorporating Advent's TPSRMEA into PEM have these innovative advantages.
