■Implementation of a Coupled Model for Electrochemical Reactions and Thermal Processes The electrochemical reactions occurring inside lithium-ion batteries are strongly influenced by temperature. Additionally, the battery temperature changes in response to the amount of heat generated by the electrochemical reactions during charging and discharging. Therefore, a model that predicts the performance of lithium-ion batteries must solve the governing equations that couple both the electrochemical reaction process and the thermal process simultaneously. Professor Chao-Yang Wang from Penn State University is a leading figure in this field, having developed the first battery performance analysis model based on this coupled process, and the literature published by his group has been cited in over 10,000 papers. ■State-of-the-Art Physical Property Database Suitable for EV Engineering The AutoLion Suite includes the following beneficial built-in physical property databases: - Templates for eight types of typical chemical batteries are provided, and new batteries can also be easily designed. - There is accurate physical property data at various concentrations and temperatures. - The materials of the electrodes can be mixed to investigate the performance of the battery.
