It can operate unmanned for over a month and can save and use up to 15 measurement programs. All parameters related to the test, including the cylinder dip speed, time settings for each column, dip holding time, and drainage time, can be programmed. In Japan, there is also a description of the dissolution testing method using this Reciprocating Cylinder in the Pharmaceutical and Food Safety Bureau Notification No. 0726-1, dated July 26, 2011.
